Check-in & Checkout
Your farm room will be ready and waiting for you from 3pm on the day you arrive. When it's time to say goodbye (we'll miss you!), we kindly ask that you check out by 11am.
Early check-ins and late check-outs can be requested, we'll do the best we can to accommodate!

Four Legged Friends
Paws up! Selected rooms at Tewinbury Farm (our charming Woodland Huts, Lake huts and a few cozy Farmhouse bedrooms) are dog-friendly. If you'd like to bring your furry companion along for the adventure, just let our reservations team know ?. Your pet will be greeted with a comfy dog bed and feeding bowls. When we say 4-legged we refer to dogs, we'll do our best to accommodate any other animal. Please keep all animals on a leash.

A deposit of £50 per pet will be requested at check-in, don't worry this will be refunded as long as there is no mess.

Little Ones 
Need a cot? We've got you covered with a complimentary one upon request! Kids can stay in their parents' room for just £20, which includes a delicious full English breakfast. Plus, we've got loads to keep them entertained—think afternoon tea made just for them, a fun play park, friendly animals, and much more! And don’t forget to explore the boot room for some fun games during your stay.

Can't Come?
If you need to cancel your stay, just give us a call at 01438 717793 or cancel online—but don’t forget to grab a cancellation number! Please note, if you cancel after 1pm the day before your arrival, you'll be charged for the first night at the full room rate. It’s important to get that cancellation number, as we can't be held responsible for any losses due to non-cancellation or late cancellations. We also reserve the right to adjust bookings or reassign room types if needed, though we'll always do our best to make sure you're comfortable!

If you’ve made your booking through a third-party online site or are using third-party vouchers, please be aware that different booking and cancellation conditions may apply. For bookings made through Virgin, Buyagift, or Red Letter Days, unfortunately, cancellations or changes are not permitted.

Our farm offers a variety of unique room types, from the charming main farmhouse and Kingsbridge Estate to cozy woodland huts and beautifully converted barns. We always try our best to upgrade you when possible, but feel free to give us a call before your stay and we’ll see what magic we can work for you!

To make sure you don’t miss out, we highly recommend booking in advance through our website. We’ll do our best to accommodate any last-minute plans, but booking ahead is the best way to secure your spot for all the fun!

Ticketed Events
For all ticketed events at Tewinbury, we require either a deposit or full payment at the time of booking to secure your spot. If you need to cancel, please notify us at least 14 days in advance. Deposits are non-refundable, and payments are non-refundable for cancellations made with less than 14 days' notice. We’ll do our best to accommodate any last-minute requests, but we can’t guarantee it.

Hot tubs

We want you to have a splashin’ good time, so here are some friendly guidelines to keep everyone safe and happy:

• Age Check: Our hot tub is a grown-up's playground, so it's best enjoyed by folks 16 and older.
• Keep It Dry: Let’s keep electrical gadgets away from the hot tub—water and wires don’t mix!
• Cheers (but not in the tub): Enjoy your drinks away from the tub and save the hot tub for splashy fun, not sipping.
• Snack-Free Zone: Leave the snacks on dry land. No food in the hot tub, please!
• Glass-Free Fun: No glassware near the tub—plastic cups work wonders!
• Health First: If you’re feeling under the weather, or if you’re expecting a bundle of joy, it’s best to skip the tub. If you’ve got any medical conditions, a quick chat with your doctor beforehand is a good idea.
• No Diving or Jumping: This isn’t a pool—keep the jumps and dives for somewhere else. And sitting on the tub’s sides? Let’s not!
• Post-Workout Chill: After a workout, let your muscles relax first before hopping in. The hot tub’s for unwinding, not for post-exercise recovery.
• Pre-Tub Prep: Shower off before and after your tub time to keep things fresh.
• Jewellery-Free Zone: Leave your bling behind. The hot tub is a no-jewellery zone!
• Exclusive Use: This hot tub is just for guests staying in your room. Max capacity: 2 people.
• Doctor’s Orders: If you’ve got health concerns, a quick consult with your doctor before using the tub is a great idea.
• Time Limits: Soak for a bit, but not too long—overdoing it can make you feel dizzy or drowsy, which isn’t fun for anyone.
• No Chemicals: Keep the bubbles and oils out of the tub. Adding them can damage the tub and might cost you £250.
• Lid Alert: If your hot tub has a lid, make sure it’s off before turning on the jets. Leaving it on could lead to extra costs of £250.
• Damage Costs: If the tub gets damaged due to rule-breaking, there will be a minimum fee of £250.
• Water Woes: Please don’t empty the hot tub yourself—some of them have heating elements that could be damaged, creating a fire risk.

Boot Room & Lawns Games
Pop into our boot room to pick up lawn games and other fun bits! We’ve also got wellies and waxed jackets for you to borrow. While you have them, it’s your responsibility to ensure they’re well looked after—charges may apply for any damages or loss. Please return them so others can enjoy the fun too.

Farm Fit Gym
By hitting the gym, you’re telling us you’re fit, fabulous, and totally confident in your gym skills.

• You’re in Charge: You’re the captain of your workout adventure and take full responsibility for how you use our equipment.
• Doctor’s Orders: Got any health concerns? A quick chat with your doctor before breaking a sweat is a smart move.
• Risk & Relaxation: We’re all about good vibes, but just a heads-up—Tewinbury isn’t liable for any mishaps from gym use. And when it comes to our hot tub, it’s all about chill at your own risk!

Heads up, event lovers (and quiet seekers!)
Here at Tewinbury Farm, we love to celebrate! Throughout the year, we host weddings, special events, and lively music nights. Some of our rooms, including our family rooms, are closer to the action near our event venues.

If you're not attending an event and would prefer a room in a quieter corner of the hotel, just give our reservations team a call. Although it's not always possible, we do our best to find you the perfect peaceful spot.

Knightsbridge & Huts - Room service

If you’ve booked one of our Lakeside or Riverside lodges, a room at Kingsbridge House, or a Shepherd’s Hut or Lake Hut, please note that these rooms are just a short 5-minute walk or less than a minute’s drive from reception. Also, keep in mind that room service is not available to these rooms, or to our Woodland Huts located within the main hotel grounds.

Parking
Parking at the farm is free of charge! For your convenience, please use the main car park at the back of the hotel. The front area is reserved for tractors and wedding guests.

By Train
Welwyn North Station is just a scenic 25-minute walk through our 700-acre estate to the hotel, where you'll pass by fields of growing crops! If you’re arriving at Welwyn Garden City Station, it’s just a short taxi ride away. Please note, we don’t offer a shuttle service from the stations.

By Air
London Luton Airport is only a 30-minute drive away, and London Stansted and Heathrow Airports are within an hour’s drive.

By Car
Located about 10 minutes from the A1(M) and around 15 minutes from the M25, making it easily accessible from London and further afield.

Smoking Policy
We kindly encourage a smoke-free environment on the farm—our animals appreciate it! But don't worry, there are plenty of dedicated smoking areas around. Just remember, no smoking indoors, please!

Hosting an event
To secure your wedding booking, a deposit of £2,000 is required, while for event bookings, a £300 deposit will do the trick. Simple and straightforward, your special day or event will be reserved just for you.
