Brocket Hall
This is a popular choice for many people who visit Welwyn - and for good reason! The view across the bridge on the Brocket Hall estate is just beautiful in all seasons.
Sherrardspark Wood
There are some brief uphill stretches on this woodland route, but overall it's a nice and easy walk. With a choice of several signposted woods, you can decide how long you want your walk to be.
The Ayot Greenway
Take a stroll along the tree-lined path that follows the route of an old railway line and walk all the way to Wheathampstead where you can see the old railway station in the village. Taking just over three hours, this is a great choice for keen walkers.
Panshanger Park
A 1,000-acre site between Welwyn Garden City and Hertford, Panshanger Park is definitely worth exploring. Stroll around the River Mimram and look out for the Great Oak and the Orangery.
Stanborough Park
This beautiful countryside park is a must-see. With plenty of scenic walking routes to explore and two lakes covering an area of 126 acres, you can decide how long to wander.
