Receptionist

Receptionist

 

We are looking for a Receptionist to join our busy Front Office Team.  The role of the Receptionist will include (but not limited to):

Be a team member of the Reception and Reservation department, being part of the team based in the Hotel Reception

To work independently in the Reception area sustaining 4 Star standards of operation

To perform in accordance to shift procedures of Reception and Reservations

To work in accordance with the Reception Manager to achieve financial targets.  This includes the budget for accommodation revenue and any related revenues

To manage online bedroom availability

The role of the Chef de Partie will include (but will not be limited to) :

Constantly demonstrate, develop and maintain agreed food standards within the kitchen & constantly aim to improve the standards of your cooking

Contribute towards menu planning

Restaurant Head Chef

We are looking for a Restaurant Head Chef to join our busy Kitchen Team.

 

The responsibilities of Restaurant Head Chef will include (but are not limited to):

To plan rotas by the agreed time for the following week and when appropriate, 2 weeks ahead to cover leave

To be responsible for the ordering of the required amount of stock for business levels to meet the requirements of the menu within budget

To be aware of dailyrevenue and daily food purchases, taking appropriate action to meet weekly food costs

To attend and contribute to meetings relevant to the department and take action on agreed points

Night Manager

Night Manager

 

We are currently seeking to recruit a Night Manager to manage the hotel during night shifts incorporating all aspects of customer service and the administration of the night audit.

 

The role of the Night Manager will involve:

  • Taking sole responsibility of the running of the whole hotel during the night and to be available when needed to the guests.
  • Managing the reception area and to answer, forward or action any calls as necessary.
  • Managing the front of house operations including checking in guests, taking payments and providing food & beverage service to guests
  • Managing the IT requirements including the running of the Night Audit process.
  • Monitoring the security of the hotel for the safety of all guests and members of staff.
  • Ensuring public areas are kept clean and well maintained at all times.

Previous experience in a similar role or venue is essential.

Candidates must have strong people and communication skills and be self-motivated as they will be spending large amounts of time on their own. A flexible “can do” attitude is a must.

 

This role will be 42 hours per week and work in shift patterns of 3 nights on followed by 3 nights off.

We have a 60-seater Restaurant plus 9 conference rooms, 4 of which are also used as wedding and event venues and can cater for up to 1,000 guests on site at one time. Our food is prepared from fresh ingredients in house.

 

We are currently seeking to recruit a Demi Chef de Partie to join our busy kitchens, all of which are modern and superbly equipped.

 

The successful candidate will have had previous experience at Demi Chef de Partie level or be ready to take the step up into that role.

 

All applicants must be able to demonstrate their interest in food and a passion for consistently achieving to their full potential.

 

In return, our successful Demi Chef de Partie will be encouraged to develop their skills within banqueting, restaurant and pastry during their career at the Company under the guidance of our experienced chefs.

 

Our Demi Chef de Partie must be prepared to work 5 days from 7, on any day of the year.

The food throughout the Hotel at Tewin Bury Farm is prepared from fresh ingredients in modern, well equipped kitchens by our talented brigade of chefs.

 

We now have a wonderful opportunity for a Commis Chef to gain valuable experience at Tewin Bury Farm, within a 4 Star 2 AA Rossette Restaurant.

 

Typical duties will involve:

 

- Assisting the chefs with the running of the kitchen.
- Preparing vegetables/soups etc.
- Cleaning and tidying of equipment.
- To take instruction from all sections of the kitchen.

 

Applicants must have at least one year's professional cookery experience or training.

Junior Sous Chef (Banqueting)

We are currently seeking to recruit a versatile Sous Chef to join our busy Kitchens, all of which are modern and superbly equipped.  The role will mainly involve working in our Banqueting kitchen, which caters for Weddings and other special events to an extremely high level.

 

The successful candidate will have a wide range of previous kitchen experience and be used to catering for large numbers within a banqueting environment, ideally within a rosette or 3+ to 4 star Hotel background.  Applicants must have a genuine interest in food and enjoy working under pressure. 

 

The role will involve:

 

  • Preparing dishes from fresh ingredients.
  • Contributing towards menu planning and costing as requested.
  • Maintaining food safety procedures.
  • Sending buffets for functions, meeting customer expectations with regards to quality and including special orders.
  • Assisting in training, coaching and supervising of trainee chefs as requested.

Laundry & Dry Cleaning Assistant

 

We are looking for a Laundry & Dry Cleaning Assistant to join the Team in our Laundry.

 

The successful candidate will preferably have dry cleaning experience however this is not essential, you will be flexible and reliable.  Salary will be dependant on experience and discussed at interview.

 

The role is full time at 40 hours per week or part time at 20 hours per week.
