Bar Person (full-time)

Bar Person

 

We are currently looking to recruit a full-time Bar Person to join our friendly restaurant team.

 

The role of Bar Person will involve:

 

  • Meeting and greeting guests.
  • Taking customer orders in a friendly and efficient manner.
  • Making and serving drinks to customers.
  • Collecting payment from customers.
  • Ensuring bar is kept clean and well stocked.
  • Ensuring excellent standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

 

You will be required to work a variety of shifts, on any 5 days from 7, on any day of the year, so a flexible approach to the hours worked is needed.

 

Excellent communication skills are needed as is the ability to deliver outstanding customer service. The successful candidate will ideally have some previous bar experience.

Restaurant Food and Beverage Assistant

Restaurant Food and Beverage Assistant

 

We are currently looking to recruit a full-time Food and Beverage Assistant to join our friendly restaurant team.

 

 

The role of Food and Beverage Assistant will involve:

 

 

  • Meeting and greeting guests.
  • Taking customer orders in a friendly and efficient manner, relaying them accurately to the kitchen.
  • Dealing with customer queries and issues.
  • Clearing and relaying the Restaurant ready for service.
  • Ensuring excellent standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

 

As the restaurant is open 7 days a week you will be required to work a variety of shifts, on any 5 days from 7, on any day of the year.  Typical shifts will be; 6am to 3pm, 12pm to 10pm and 3pm to close.  This role will include weekday and weekend shifts so candidates must be flexible.

 

The successful candidate will ideally have some previous waiting experience within a quality hotel or restaurant.  All of our waiting staff must have a flexible approach to the work they are asked to do.  An excellent standard of presentation and customer service are essential.

Night Duty Manager

Night Duty Manager

 

We are currently seeking to recruit a Night Duty Manager to manage the hotel during night shifts incorporating all aspects of customer service and the administration of the night audit.

 

The role of the Night Duty Manager will involve:

 

  • Taking sole responsibility of the running of the whole hotel during the night and to be available when needed to the guests.
  • Managing the reception area and to answer, forward or action any calls as necessary.
  • Managing the front of house operations including checking in guests, taking payments and providing food & beverage service to guests
  • Managing the IT requirements including the running of the Night Audit process.
  • Monitoring the security of the hotel for the safety of all guests and members of staff.
  • Ensuring public areas are kept clean and well maintained at all times.

 

Previous experience in a similar role or venue is essential.

 

Candidates must have strong people and communication skills and be self-motivated as they will be spending large amounts of time on their own. A flexible “can do” attitude is a must.

 

The rota is provided on a rolling 3 days on followed by 3 days off pattern.   Normal working hours are 7pm to 7am between a Sunday and Thursday and 8pm to 8am on a Friday, Saturday and Bank Holiday Sunday.

Casual Housekeeping Supervisor

Casual Housekeeping Supervisor

 

We are currently seeking to recruit a casual Housekeeping Supervisor who takes pride in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the Hotel.

 

The successful candidate will have previous experience within a quality hotel, preferably at this level, and be able to motivate our experienced team.

 

Our Housekeeping Supervisor will be responsible for:

 

• Deputizing for the Housekeeping and Laundry Manager.
• Reviewing the occupancy and allocating rooms to the Housekeeping team accordingly.
• Ensuring that all of the bedrooms and public areas are consistently cleaned to the highest possible standards throughout.
• Cleaning rooms as required.
• Ensuring that staff are trained and motivated to complete their duties effectively.
• Checking rooms and ensuring they are returned for use within a timely manner.

 

Hours of work will be offered depending on the needs of the business although it is likely the successful candidate will be offered a minimum of 2 shifts per week. The ideal candidate will need to be flexible with the hours of work they perform as this role will mainly involve weekend work with the occasional weekday shift.

At Tewin Bury Farm, we are pleased to be able to host a wide variety of events at which the waiting staff are an integral part of.

 

We are currently looking to employ experienced Bar and Waiting staff to add to our bank of casual events and restaurant staff.


 
As a casual member of staff, the successful applicant will be offered work on an as and when basis dependent on the needs of the business.  Shifts to be offered are most likely at evenings and weekends so the successful applicant should be available at these times.

 

 The responsibilities will include:

 

  • Setting up and clearing of dining tables and chairs.
  • Ensuring excellent standard of cleanliness.
  • Provide a food and beverage service to guests in all types of banqueting functions mainly weddings and parties.
  • Ensuring guests receive a warm service and to answer any queries or issues they may have.

Restaurant Supervisor

Our 60-seater Restaurant has been awarded 2 rosettes and prides itself on the friendly and efficient style of service it provides, together with superb cuisine made from fresh ingredients.  We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Restaurant Supervisor.

 

The successful candidate will have previous experience within a quality hotel or restaurant at this level and enjoy being a “hands-on” member of a team.  As Restaurant Supervisor, they will have a flexible approach to the work they are asked to do, as well as the hours they are required to work.  An excellent standard of presentation is essential.

 

Our Restaurant Supervisor will be responsible for:

 

  • Meeting and greeting guests.
  • Organising staff and allocating duties.
  • Running Restaurant Shifts.
  • Liaising effectively with the Kitchen.
  • Working with the existing Restaurant Management team to ensure excellent standards of customer service at all times.

Pastry Chef

Pastry Chef

We have a 60-cover, 2 AA Rosette Restaurant plus 9 conference rooms, 4 of which are also used as wedding and event venues and can cater for up to 1,000 guests on site at one time. Our food is prepared from fresh ingredients in house.

 

We are currently seeking to recruit  Pastry Chef to provide quality pastries for both our Restaurant and Banqueting guests.  This role would ideally suit someone who is at Chef de Partie level and looking for the next step up.

 

The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar environment and enjoy the challenge of creating quality pastries for both fine dining and for high volume concerns.

 

The role of Pastry Chef will involve:

• Preparing pastries for both the fine dining Restaurant and busy banqueting functions from fresh ingredients.
• Contributing towards menu planning, costing and achieving budgets as required.
• Meeting customer expectations with regards to quality and including special orders.
• Ensuring high standards of food hygiene are rigorously enforced.

Chef de Partie

Chef de Partie

 

We have a 60-seater Restaurant plus 9 conference rooms, 4 of which are also used as wedding and event venues and can cater for up to 1,000 guests on site at one time. Our food is prepared from fresh ingredients in house.

 

We are currently seeking to recruit 2 x Chef de Partie's to join our busy kitchens, all of which are modern and superbly equipped. You will either be working in the banqueting or the restaurant kitchen and would be expected to cover the kitchen as and when required.

 

The successful candidate will have previous experience in a banqueting or rosetted restaurant environment and enjoy working under pressure.

 

The role will involve:

 

• Preparing dishes from fresh ingredients.
• Producing mis en place in advance.
• Contributing towards menu planning and costing as requested.
• Maintaining food safety procedures, including food labelling, food temperatures and cleaning schedules.
• Meeting customer expectations with regards to quality and including special orders.
• Assisting in training and coaching of trainee chefs as requested.
